Coronavirus has affected people of all nations. It is an infectious disease. It can reside on surfaces, be spread through physical contact and travel through the air.

Shortly after the outbreak, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers set up a taskforce drawing on the expertise of its members to supply information and guidance to public and government bodies and industry on how to combat it. They produced a manual of practice, they considered how to deal with the virus in buildings by ventilation and control of air quality,they designed masks and gave guidance for transport and best practice for industry.
