Looking back and to the future of forensic science
Miss Jean Milne was found deceased at her home in Broughty Ferry in 1912. Her case challenged the investigative team at the time – and we explore the history of forensic science and how things have changed and what these changes would mean to a modern investigation.
Brought to you by the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Dundee and Adventurous Audio Ltd, the panellists have all contributed to the newly released podcast ‘Inside Forensic Science’ which tells the story of the case of Jean Milne and explores forensic science then and now.
JoinProfessor Niamh Nic Daéid FRSE and Professor Lucina Hackman from the award-winning Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Dundee who will be joined by Alex Prentice QC, Principal Crown Counsel, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service and the podcast producers Pennie Latin and Dan Holland where they will describe the history of forensic science through the medium of a historic case.
