Developing treatments for Covid-19

Discussion reflecting on the discovery and development of new or re-purposed treatments to tackle the Covid-19 virus.

The discovery and development of new or re-purposed treatments to tackle the virus and also the inflammatory consequences of Covid-19 infection remain a priority. So too are treatments for the as yet poorly understood longer-term impacts of Covid-19. Effective and safe Covid-19 treatments for patients both in hospital and community settings are critical and will be as impactful as the vaccines in saving lives and improving the quality of lives of individuals infected with Covid-19.

Speak with Dr Deborah O’Neil, OBE FRSE, Chief Executive & Scientific Officer, NovaBiotics on the discovery and development of new or re-purposed treatments to tackle the Covid-19 virus. Chaired by Professor Neil Vargesson FRSE, FRSB, FHEA, Chair in Developmental Biology, University of Aberdeen.
